The panelists will address potential reforms to police use of force, qualified immunity, alternatives to traditional law enforcement, and other aspects of the current debate. The panelists will be Professor Ronald S. Sullivan, Jr., a noted criminal law scholar and criminal defense attorney who is the Jesse Climenko Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Criminal Justice Institute at Harvard Law School, Professor Katie Tinto, Chair of the Public Safety Advisory Committee of the University of California, Irvine and Director of UCI Law's Criminal Justice Clinic, and Michael Friedland, a Harvard Law School graduate, partner at Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear, and former Orange County Reserve Deputy Sheriff.
