Science activation requires bilateral exchange between scientists and policy-makers to explore complex problems and create solutions encompassing societal objectives and physical requirements.
On June 25, 2019, the Dr. Lucy Jones Center for Science and Society is hosting the National Science Activation Symposium at The California Endowment in Los Angeles, in partnership with the American Geophysical Union. Through keynotes and workshop activities, attendees with examine the different cultural norms for communication in the scientific and policy worlds, and create strategies to begin engaging with decision-makers.
