Private Tour and Tea/Coffee at the Historic Ebell of LA, a Women's Clubhouse

Join Harvard alums on a private 45-minute tour of the 1927 clubhouse, The Ebell of Los Angeles (a National Historic Landmark), to learn about the 121-year-old women’s organization.

Tuesday, March 29, 2016 @ 11:00am [We will meet at this time in the clubhouse garden where the tour will begin (the receptionist will guide you to the garden).]
The Ebell of Los Angeles, 743 S. Lucerne Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90005

The Ebell of Los Angeles was founded as a philanthropic and educational women’s organization in 1894, 26 years before women’s suffrage. An important player in the women’s movement in Los Angeles, The Ebell was home to one of the first law classes for women and the birthplace of the Red Cross in Los Angeles. Today it continues to serve the city through its support of 18 separate charities, a century-old college scholarship program, and regular entertainment and educational programming.

After the tour, we will enjoy coffee and tea in the garden weather permitting.  Please note that the tour will require you to walk a lot of steps; there is an elevator but it does not reach all the floors of the building.

Cost: The event is free. Please RSVP to the right.
Parking:
There is free parking in front of the building.
