WHEN: Saturday, October 15, meet at 10:30 am. Depart around 2:30 pm.
WHERE: 28000 Devil's Punchbowl Rd. Pearblossom CA 93553 (meet by the visitor center), or carpool from Newhall (see below for details)

DIFFICULTY: Moderate to strenuous, depending on fitness level. 7.5 miles

Join fellow alumni on this hike in the Devil’s Punchbowl Natural Area to the Devil’s Chair for spectacular vistas of ancient geological formations created by the nearby San Andreas fault. Close to LA, yet eons away. Bring a lunch for a stop along the way, two liters of water, and sunscreen. Trail shoes or boots recommended.

Directions:
Take Highway 14 north from the 5. Exit to Pearblossom Highway. Right on 87th St. E, Left on Fort Tejon Rd., Right on 131st/Longview, Left on Tumbleweed Rd., continue onto Devils Punchbowl Rd.

NEWHALL CARPOOL: 9:30: Newhall Ave. and Wager Rd. in Newhall. Take Newhall Ave. exit from Highway 14 north.
