faustWhy It Matters: Drew Gilpin Faust and Karen R. Lawrence

Join the Harvard Club of Southern California for a conversation about the importance of the humanities between immediate past Harvard President Drew Faust Gilpin and Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens President Karen R. Lawrence.

Dr. Drew Faust Gilpin is an eminent Civil War historian who championed the arts and extended financial aid at Harvard College to enable middle-class parents to have contributions akin to those of public flagship universities, as well as encouraged STEM and entrepreneurial innovation at Harvard University during her tenure as its 28th president.  Dr. Karen R.
