This year, the 2018 LACFF will take place at the Downtown Independent from November 1st to November 4th, and will feature a strong line-up of thoughtfully curated films, including opening night feature by Ruijin Li, Walking Past the Future, as well as closing night documentary, Linsanity, by Evan Leong. Many of the filmmakers, including director Ruijin Li, will be present for Q&A sessions after their respective screenings.
This year’s LACFF will also be highlighting two industry panels which will be held at the JW Marriott L.A. Live on November 3rd. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from industry heavyweights, including Jimmy O. Yang, comedian and actor in Crazy Rich Asians and Silicon Valley; President of Perfect World Pictures, Rong Chen; and Emmy Award-winning writer, Jessica Gao; amongst other highly accomplished industry professionals on topics ranging from content creation to the future of international co-productions, distribution and film financing.
