COVID-19 has presented our world with unique challenges and UCI, a world-renown research institution, has experts conducting research to tackle this virus. Join us for an update from Dr. Andrew Noymer who has quickly risen to the top as an expert during the COVID-19 outbreak. He has been recently quoted and interviewed by news outlets across the nation including The Atlantic, CNN.com, LA Times, Newsday, and the New York Times. Dr. Noymer will present updates on his research and where we are now with COVID-19. A Q&A session will follow his presentation.

About Our Speaker - Andrew Noymer, Ph.D.:
Dr. Andrew Noymer is an Associate Professor in Public Health at the University of California, Irvine. His research focuses on health and mortality; the 1918 Influenza Pandemic; Demography; Methods; Mathematical Sociology. He earned a BA in Biology from Harvard, a MSC in Medical Demography from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and a PhD in Sociology at UC Berkeley. Read his full bio here.
