Behind the Ballet: A Members-Only Conversation with the head of American Ballet Theatre Kara Medoff Barnett HBS ’07 & Performance of La Bayadere
Please join Harvard Club members for an exclusive members-only conversation with Kara Medoff Barnett (HBS ’07) before watching the performance of La Bayadere at the Music Center. The American Ballet Theatre is one of the world's most prestigious and pre-eminent dance companies, home to acclaimed ballerina Misty Copeland (the company's first African-American principal dancer).
Barnett has been the Executive Director of the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) since February 2016. Barnett began her career producing plays on and off Broadway, and received a Tony® Award for the 2003 Broadway revival of Long Day’s Journey Into Night. She was then a senior executive at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts for 9 years. Barnett attended Duke University on a Trinity Scholarship, graduating summa cum laude, and received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Click here for her full biography.

Time: Private conversation with Kara Medoff Barnett from 6:15 p.m. to 7:00pm. The La Bayadere performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. (est run time 2 hours, 53 minutes). Both events will take place in the same building. Read more about La Bayadere here.

Harvard Club members will receive a 20% discount off regular ticket prices which vary between $38 and $138 per ticket depending on the section. There will be no extra charge for Harvard Club members to attend the pre-performance conversation with Kara Barnett. Ms. Kim-Parker will provide more information on how to purchase your tickets with the 20% discount and where to gather for the private conversation. Discount expires July 1st.
