This workshop offers a highly interactive approach for participants to better understand conflict and its causes, and to resolve workplace situations through effective communication strategies. Participants will explore assumptions that can get in the way of resolution as well as options for handling conflict. Through interactive exercises, participants will apply a process to prepare for and initiate a successful conversation to resolve workplace conflict.


About the Instructor: Sharon R.  Edwards Principal, Brandywine River Consulting

Sharon has over 20 years of experience in Leadership and Organizational Development. Brandywine River Consulting partners with companies to build organizational capability through pragmatic learning and development solutions.

Sharon specializes in talent development processes and programs that help clients in areas such as leadership development, influencing, emotional intelligence, leading change, communicating effectively, delegation, conflict management, unconscious bias, strategy execution and performance management. The programs that Sharon designs, develops, and facilitates online, virtually and in person provide individuals and organizations with the competitive edge necessary to compete in today’s challenging work environment.

Sharon has had the privilege of working with national and international organizations in the public, private and non-profit sector in a variety of industries including: biotech, financial, chemical manufacturing, distribution services, accounting, waste management, security services, pharmaceutical manufacturing, higher education, food services and agriculture. Her audiences have ranged from managers to senior level executives and managing partners.

Prior to founding Brandywine River Consulting, Sharon held a wide range of senior Organization Development and Human Resources positions at ARAMARK Corporation, a $13B, 250,000 employee, diversified services company in the Business Services Group, International Group and the Food and Support Services division.

Sharon has been a certified Executive Coach for over 15 years. She earned her master’s degree in Human Resources from Widener University while teaching as an adjunct professor in their School of Business.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Sharon has held leadership positions in the public-school system, the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania and is an active member in the Main Line Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the Executive Board of Main Line School Night in Radnor, PA.
