About the organization: The Los Angeles Music and Art School (LAMusArt) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to provide the community of East Los Angeles, primarily its K-12 population, with equitable and affordable access to multidisciplinary arts education programs and performance opportunities. Since 1945, LAMusArt has served as a cornerstone of arts education and cultural identity for the community, offering high quality, sequential and accessible instruction in music, art dance, and drama, year-round.
About the event: Chicanas Gitanas & Company ignite the stage with a masterful rendition of authentic Flamenco in its truest form, the Tablao. Pushing the limits of self-expression and moving away from choreographed steps and towards exciting improvisation, this diverse company of Flamencos from Los Angeles, Mexico, Spain, & Japan will take you on an intimate and exhilarating journey deep into the heart and soul of Flamenco! This performance of Noches Flamencas is part of the Los Angeles Music and Art School's Artist Series, a summer long roster of events taking place on the brand new Courtyard Stage.
