HIKE FOR CARDIOVASCULAR BENEFITS
Walking or hiking bilaterally stimulates both parts of the brain, increases blood circulation, and allows for informal connections.
YOGA FOR MINDFULNESS AND STRESS RELIEF
Breathe and move together in community with simple movements designed to release tension and promote self-awareness.
NATURE FOR GROUNDING
During both the hike and yoga you will have the opportunity to acknowledge the land, learn about local native plants, and embrace yourself and your community as part of a much larger ecosystem.
Through personal childhood trauma, toxic work environments, and multiple sports injuries, Laurie was attracted to yoga as a way to heal her mind, heart, and body. Laurie believes that all humans need healing space.
With 8 years of experience as a Certified Yoga Specialist, Laurie mentors private clients on yoga therapy for back pain and how to incorporate breathing techniques and self-care into their busy schedules. She is very passionate about nature, running, microbiome health, and art. She is the Founder of non-profit Hike to Yoga because she believes that the combined benefits of cardiovascular exercise, nature connection, and yoga should be accessible to all persons.
