Greenlight to Freedom is the story of co-author Songmi Han who was born in Geum-ya gun, Bongsan-ri in the center of North Korea about 240 kilometers from the capital of Pyongyang.  She escaped from North Korea in 2011, settling in South Korea later that year.  She is now a college student studying social welfare at a university outside of Seoul, is a keynote speaker and a North Korean Refugee Fellow at Freedom Speakers International, and happy to be living in freedom.  She is co-author of Greenlight to Freedom: A North Korean Daughter's Search for Her Mother and Herself, published in February 2022 by FSI Publishing.
