Come join the very first private cider tasting in Los Angeles for Kristof Farms! And as you are sipping delicious cider and munching on delectable cheeses, aromatic charcuterie and assorted hors d’oeuvres, we will have a lively (unofficial, off-the-record) conversation about the threats to the Ivy League -- from other colleges like Stanford, from popular sentiment against legacy preferences, from resentments about "elitism" -- and about China, the economy and whatever is on your mind. Plus, we'll discuss an innovative way to boost educational outcomes for young children.

Nicholas D. Kristof ’82, co-owner of Kristof Farms in Yamhill, OR; award-winning journalist, author, and New York Times columnist. Nick is a former member of the Harvard Board of Overseers. Nick will be joining us remotely.
Joan Chu Reese ’85, Executive Director, Vision To Learn, a non-profit that provides screenings, eye exams, and glasses to children in underserved communities across the United States. Joan is the immediate past president of the Harvard Club of Southern California.
Cynthia Torres ’80, MBA ’84, independent college counselor and business consultant, is a past president of the Harvard Alumni Association.
