David Malan AB ’99, SM ’04, PhD ‘07 is the Gordon McKay Professor of the Practice of Computer Science at Harvard’s John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Science. His research interests include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, computer-assisted education and collaborative learning. He teaches Computer Science 50 (“Introduction to Computer Science”), which is one of the largest courses taught at Harvard, Yale and online through EdX, with his lectures having been viewed by over 5.5 million people worldwide.
