AI technologies are rapidly evolving, and with them, the critical need for research-informed and engaging AI education is growing. Drawing from a collaborative and research-informed approach between industry experts at Google DeepMind and pedagogical experts at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, this webinar explores the design principles that have guided 'Experience AI' (www.rpf.io/exai), a world-leading initiative on AI literacy.

Focusing on concepts like anthropomorphism, the data-driven nature of AI systems, machine learning, and ethics in AI, we will explore the design principles and pedagogical strategies required to equip learners with the skills to understand, navigate, and mitigate the ethical challenges, biases, and societal impacts of AI. Through engaging examples and interactive activities designed by leading experts in AI education, this session will empower you to design impactful, accessible, and research-informed AI learning experiences that will inspire the next generation of responsible users and creators of AI.

About the presenter:
rehanaRehana is an AI Learning Manager at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, where she designs and develops AI education resources for global audiences. With a background in computer science education, Rehana has also served as a Computer Science Specialist at Khan Lab School in Silicon Valley, where she focused on designing courses in machine learning, physical computing and creative technologies like robotics and wearable tech. Passionate about advancing diversity in tech, Rehana has worked as a coding instructor with organizations like Code First Girls and Girls into Coding, striving to close the gender gap in the industry.
