About our Speaker:
Prof. Waldinger directs the Harvard Study of Adult Development at Massachusetts General Hospital, which has been tracking the lives and health of individuals and their children for 87 years and is one of the longest running studies of adult life ever conducted.


Prof. Waldinger will talk about “What Actually Keeps Us Happy and Healthy?: Lessons from an 87-Year Study of Human Life.”


Prof. Waldinger is also a Zen priest and sensei, and he teaches Zen and meditation in New England and internationally. He has won awards for teaching and research from Harvard Medical School, the American Psychiatric Association and the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society. His TED talk on lessons from the longest study of happiness has had over 40 million views and is one of the 10 most-viewed talks in the history of TED
