HBS Alumni New Venture Competition (aNVC): Creating Ventures that Revolutionize
This is both an invitation for entrepreneurial teams to pitch their businesses to a panel of judges that include venture capitalists, Silicon Valley Bank executives, and HBSASC members, and an invitation to attend the competition finals.
Businesses must submit their pitch decks by March 29 to be considered for the final round. Businesses must include at least one Harvard alum from Southern California who is at least a 25% equity stakeholder and is a part of the pitch team. While in-person pitches are preferred, teams are allowed to pitch virtually.

The alumni New Venture Competition (aNVC) is an annual alumni competition that in the past was sponsored by Harvard Business School's Rock Center for Entrepreneurship and HBS Clubs and Associations. This year due to circumstances, HBS will not be running an aNVC; although they will continue the student NVC. As a result, HBSASC will be sponsoring its own aNVC, which will be open to HBS alumni founders with early-stage ventures. The aNVC serves as a launch pad for innovative new ventures from HBS and MBA Collective of Southern California* alumni, providing access and exposure to potential investors, mentors, and advisors. The competition is open to any HBS or MBA Collective alumni founders/co-founders of early-stage ventures with revenues of $2.5MM or less and have raised no more than $2.0MM in funding for their venture.
