HCSC Book Club: Pomegranate by Helen Elaine Lee
Join fellow alums for a monthly book club at a private residence in the mid-Wilshire Beverly Grove neighborhood. We will be discussing the book Pomegranate by author Helen Elaine Lee (College, HLS '85), Professor Post-Tenure in Comparative Media studies and Writing at MIT. Her book tells the story of Rainita Atwater as she ends her incarceration for opioid possession, grapples with the unhealed wounds that led to her addiction and tries to regain custody of her children.
