HCSC Book Club: The Birds
Join fellow alums in discussing The Birds by Tarjei Vesaas. The book follows Mattis, an intellectually disabled man living with his sister Hege in a remote cabin. His world is upended when Hege falls in love with a lumberjack. The book is praised for its poetic language, vivid imagery and sensitive psychological insight.
