Long considered the sculptor most closely associated with Abstract Expressionism, David Smith was a restless polymath for whom sculpture, drawing, and painting formed a single creative current. Join us for a rare presentation devoted entirely to his trailblazing Sprays - luminous works that invert his exacting sculptural process to reveal a profound painterly sensitivity.
We'll begin with a tour of the exhibition, followed by a special preview of the gallery's private viewing rooms. Light refreshments to follow.
