Fun in the Sun - Earth Day Volunteer by The Beach

Have you ever seen the amazing rare flowers that grow on native sand dunes? That's because there aren't many natural sand dunes left in LA. Do your part to preserve some of LA's natural beauty while getting to know some of your fellow local alumni.

Earth Day Volunteer Event.  Come help remove invasive weeds from a rare beach dune trail located between Dockweiler State Beach and LAX.  Enjoy a striking view of the ocean, fresh air, and an occasional take-off.  Please bring your own gloves and hand tools (if you have them), water, sunblock, hat, and earplugs (if you have sensitive ears).  Healthy snacks and drinks, and extra gloves and hand tools will be provided.  We're going to do this throughout the year, so come out and get to know your local alum, friends and family.  Pets and small children must stay on the trail.   Please register at Harvard table opposite nature path when you arrive.
