Issues in Education - Educators' Roundtable - Coping with the Crisis II

Join fellow Harvard alumni to discuss issues in education, specific and general. Come to a potluck luncheon at the home of Priscilla and Michael Heim to voice your opinion and meet others interested in the current state of education.

Saturday, October 15, 2011 @ 12:30pm - 2:30pm
Home of  Priscilla and Michael Heim, 500 Levering Ave., Los Angeles CA 90024 (parking up the street)

Welcome back to the school year! Join kindred spirits in informal discussion and camaraderie as we examine issues giving rise to all the educational problems we read about.

Subject: Effects of budget cuts on schools, universities, and education public and private.

Two years ago members of the Harvard Club of Southern California discussed the effects that budget cuts had on education. Now there have been even more cuts. How are schools and universities managing? What does the future hold for our educational institutions?

If you are concerned or interested in education you won't want to miss this pot-luck luncheon session of the Educators Roundtable and engage in an informal, unofficial conversation on the situation.

Cost: Free (bring an item for the potluck lunch; drinks and utensils will be provided)
