Harvard alumni! We’re all concerned with education, its content, its ultimate goals What preparation does the university want to find in incoming students. What do we mean by preparation? Does the content of high school education fit university education? Is high-school calculus good enough? AP CHemistry? AP Physics? Should our students be familiar with Tolstoy? Tagore? The Middle Ages? The Ming Dynasty? Come to a gathering of interested alumni to discuss these issues informally over a pot-luck lunch. Hear the views of Efrain Kristal, Chair of UCLA Comparative Literature and offer your own views.
Efrain Kristal, Chair of UCLA Comparaive Literature Department, will moderate.
Cost: A luncheon dish
