One of the world's great dance companies, American Ballet Theatre (ABT) has built a repertoire unmatched by any other company. Over its rich history, the company has danced all of the great full-length ballets of the 19th century. Long dedicated to maintaining these great traditions of the past while forging a vital and leading-edge future, ABT has commissioned works by all of the great choreographic geniuses of the 20th century.
On their 16th engagement at The Music Center, ABT will open with a performance of mixed repertoire, highlighting the stellar roster of international ballet stars, followed by 4 performances of Le Corsaire, the classic Russian tale first performed in 1856 and re-imagined by ABT 130 years later. The rip-roaring tale, full of pirates, slave girls and swashbuckling action is staged by Anna-Marie Holmes after choreography by Marius Petipa and Konstantin Sergeyev, and features a new production design from Christian Prego and costume designs by Anibal Lapiz.
These are group discounted Loge tickets. Maximum of 4 tickets per order. We have a limited number of tickets, first come, first served until sold out. Deadline, July 6, 2013. No refunds.
