The Harvard Club of Southern California, in collaboration with The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, presents A SPECIAL PRESENTATION ON MYTHS AND REALITIES OF THE CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY by Representatives from the CIA's Community Outreach and Liaison Staff (At the request of the CIA, names are not listed.)

The CIA was created in 1947 with the signing of the National Security Act by President Harry S. Truman.  Since then to the present, the CIA’s primary mission has been to preempt threats and further the United States national security objectives by collecting vital intelligence, producing substantive all-source analysis, conducting effective covert action as directed by the President, and safeguarding the secrets that help keep our nation safe.  This presentation will test one’s knowledge about the CIA.  It will also introduce participants to CIA employees, as they discuss the CIA’s mission, community outreach efforts, career opportunities, and debunk common myths.

Deadline to register is January 8, 2014.
